The scholarship was established thanks to an anonymous donor’s gift of $50,000.

The annual Because of You Campaign raises funds for scholarships to be given out via the Northeast State Foundation. This year’s fundraising goal was exceeded by more than $21,000.

The university is working with Canton City Schools for the Canton City Middle School Violence Intervention and Prevention Program, which will run through September 2027.

The program, the first of its kind in the state of Ohio, is now accepting applications for the Fall 2025 semester.

A total of $2.8 million from two separate endowments will create two new scholarship funds at the University of Rio Grande to continue making higher education more accessible to more students.

The five-year $2.2 million Title III Part A Strengthening Institutions grant is the largest grant UC Blue Ash has ever received.

The two grants come from the Charles D. Berry Foundation and the CareSource Foundation and will benefit SInclair Community College’s Transition Option in Post-Secondary Education (Tartan TOPS) Program.

The expanded partnership between the university and the healthcare organization includes establishing a site for Shawnee State University’s College of Health & Human Services within Adena Health’s PACCAR Medical Education Center.

The Peer Specialist Apprenticeship is a human services apprenticeship program that gives students the opportunity for paid work within their area of interest while still pursuing a degree. 

The grant is awarded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Rural Postsecondary and Economic Development program and totals $2,022,519.
