After a long search, Indiana State University has found a new Executive Director of University Marketing in Christian Ponce, who brings nearly 25 years of experience to the role.
On September 29th, Indiana State University officially welcomed its new Executive Director of University Marketing within the Division of Enrollment Management, Christian Ponce.
As Executive Director of University Marketing, Ponce will be in charge of the University Marketing team where he will work to push Indiana State’s brand, improve recruitment marketing efforts, and support other goals of the school through creative outreach and new strategies. Ponce has been in the marketing field for almost 25 years. He has an impressive resume that shows he has had measurable results in his previous projects leading creative teams.
In an article posted on Indiana State University’s website, Maribeth Stevens, who serves as Vice President for Enrollment Management, spoke highly of Ponce, saying, “We are excited to welcome Christian to Indiana State. His experience, creativity, and strategic vision will be invaluable as we enhance the University’s marketing and storytelling to engage future Sycamores and strengthen Indiana State’s presence across the region and beyond.”
Ponce expressed his enthusiasm for his new position, saying, “I am honored to step into this role at such an important time for the University. Indiana State has a powerful story to tell, and I look forward to working with the talented marketing team to showcase the incredible opportunities, experiences, and outcomes that define the Sycamore community by elevating a brand that reflects its pride, distinctiveness, strong academics, and affordability.”
Ponce’s predecessor is Tony Campbell, who served as Interim Executive Director of University Marketing over the past year. The University team expressed its gratitude for his service as it searched for someone to fill the position permanently.
