The project, which will add more classroom space, modernize existing spaces, and improve sustainability efforts, is expected to be largely completed by January of 2027.
The initiative seeks to improve childcare and the quality of life for children and families in the region. Joining Indiana State University in the initiative are Ivy Tech Terre Haute and Lilly Endowment’s College and Community Collaboration.
The fund was established by university president Mike Godard in an effort to increase freshman enrollment. The Sycamore Success Scholarship will be awarded to qualifying students who haven’t received other Indiana State scholarships.
The grant will allow Dr. Justin Miller to study a specific bacterial species as well as provide students who come from underrepresented communities with mentorships and other opportunities on campus.
