Northwest State Community College has become the ninth partner in Tiffin University’s DragonNext program, which gives students from select community colleges the ability to transfer into the university seamlessly.
Tiffin University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Northwest State Community College which solidifies a partnership making NSCC the university’s ninth DragonNext program partner. The DragonNext program at Tiffin University provides a seamless transfer pathway for students at community colleges to enter into Tiffin University in pursuit of a bachelor degree.
According to an article on Tiffin University's website, Kelly Petrosino, who serves as the DragonNext Program Manager at Tiffin University, was quoted as saying of the new community college addition, “We are excited to welcome Northwest State Community College as our newest DragonNext partner. Partnerships like this create real opportunities for students to continue their education with confidence. By joining the DragonNext program, students gain access to a supportive network, guidance from dedicated advisors and resources that help them plan their next steps and achieve their academic and career goals. We are proud to expand our reach and make higher education more accessible to students across the region.”
The DragonNext program provides a seamless transfer pathway from community colleges to Tiffin University for students who are pursuing a bachelor degree. Partners in the DragonNext program align their courses to Tiffin University’s in order to ensure students will need to complete no more than an additional 60 credits to achieve a bachelor degree. Students will have access to support services from each institution, ensuring a truly seamless transfer experience. In order to be eligible, students must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
In addition to Northwest State Community College, other DragonNext partner institutions include Terra State Community College, Edison State Community College, Owens Community College, Marion Technical College, Washington State College of Ohio, Zane State College, Columbus State Community College, Cuyahoga Community College, and Lakeland Community College.
Beginning with the Fall 2026 semester, students who transfer from a DragonNext college into Tiffin University will be eligible for an $18,000 merit scholarship.
