The donation comes from Dr. Doan L. Phung who first endowed the Phung Family Scholarship in 1991.
The collaboration between Nashville State Community College, the Northern Middle Tennessee Workforce Board, and the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has resulted in a new streamlined workforce center to replace the current American Job Center.
The clinic is partially funded by a Tennessee Department of Health grant in the amount of $500,000.
The original partnership between the university and the Air Force was established in 2022 to give researchers with the Air Force access to Wright State’s Neuroscience Engineering Collaboration Building. The new agreement expands access to other campus resources.
The five new programs will expand the school’s offerings and provide students with more options for degrees that will allow them to work in emerging, in-demand fields.
The university has received $645,158 to distribute as scholarships for STEM students.
The fully online Bachelor of Science in Nursing program will take 16 months to complete. Classes begin in the Spring 2025 semester.
The university has been granted $1.19 million to distribute as Choose Ohio First scholarships to STEM students over the next five years.
The new transfer agreement, which took effect with the Fall 2024 semester, creates a pathway for students who want to pursue engineering at Ohio University.
The college’s $780,000 in funding will go toward scholarships for students who are pursuing STEM education.
