Indiana Institute of Technology and the Indiana Manufacturers Association have formed a partnership that will benefit members of the IMA looking to continue their education. The partnership has established Indiana Tech as an educational partner to the association, meaning that employees of IMA members can receive a 20% tuition discount to attend certain undergraduate and graduate certificate programs at Indiana Tech.
According to an article on Indiana Tech’s website, Dr. Steve Herendeen, who serves as the senior vice president for strategic enrollment management at Indiana Tech, was quoted as saying of the new partnership, “This is an outstanding opportunity for many employees within Indiana’s manufacturing workforce to upskill in their current role or prepare for a next-level position. Manufacturing is an integral part of our state’s economy, and this agreement will strengthen our manufacturing base while helping individuals bolster their skill sets and improve their careers. That’s something Indiana Tech is proud to be a part of.”
The eligible undergraduate certificate programs include Additive Manufacturing, Artificial Intelligence, AI and Business Innovation, Battery Management Systems, Business Analytics, Construction Management, Cybersecurity, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Printed Circuit Board Layout, Production Management, Programmable Logic Controllers, and Supply Chain Management. The graduate certificate programs eligible for this tuition discount include Business Analytics, Data Analytics and Cybersecurity, Human Resource Management, Information Management and Cybersecurity, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Management and Cybersecurity.
These certificate programs have been selected due to their potential to help current manufacturing employees upskill, advance their careers, and seek new positions within the industry. The programs are offered through Indiana Tech Online, which provides the courses through asynchronous learning, providing the opportunity for flexible learning.
