Nursing - Associate Degree
University of Charleston offers a hybrid Nursing program that awards students with an associate degree. The program combines online learning with in-person class time. Courses studied throughout the program include Health Assessment, Fundamentals of Nursing, and Pathopharmacology I. Students should feel prepared to take the NCLEX-RN exam after completing the program.
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at University of Charleston will learn the skills needed to become a competent entry-level occupational therapy assistant. Among the courses students will take are Clinical Kinesiology, Occupational Performance in Children, and Issues in Social Science. To complete the program, students are also required to participate in relevant fieldwork.

The University of Charleston was named one of the Best Colleges for Bachelor Degree Programs for 2024 by Money.com based on a number of factors including graduation rate, post-graduation employment, graduate wage earnings, and more.
The program will begin in the Fall 2024 semester. Students will take courses on campus at the University of Charleston and then will take on clinical rotations at Charleston Area Medical Center hospitals.
Two graduate programs are being implemented: Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy. Both programs will be housed within the new Morrison Center.
