About Baker College

The result of a 1965 merger between Muskegon College and Baker Business University, Baker College is a private college headquartered in Owosso, Michigan with a total of 14 campuses across Michigan.

Baker College offers the following healthcare-related courses:

Accelerated Nursing

The Baker College nursing Accelerated BSN nursing degree program is a two-year program consisting of 62 major credit hours (and 37 prerequisite course credits). Our curriculum includes fundamentals of nursing, global health and a nursing synthesis.

Medical Assistant

The Baker College Medical Assistant Certificate program is a one-year, CAAHEP-accredited program consisting of 30 credit hours of medical assistant course requirements. Our curriculum includes basic clinical and administrative skills, dosage math and pharmacology and a 160-hour clinical.

Health Information Technology

The Baker College Associate of Applied Science in Health Information Technology program is a two-year, CAHIIM-accredited program consisting of 60 credit hours (45 hours of major courses and 15 general education requirements). Our curriculum includes human anatomy and physiology, three coding courses and a 120-hour capstone work experience.
