TCAT Knoxville is the only recipient to have received two separate GIVE grants in this round of funding.

The $1.7 million gift comes from the estate of William A. Bernie, M.D., who helped found Wright State’s Department of Surgery.
Potential students who apply to Xavier University by November 1 will receive a response from the university by mid-December, helping students sort out their choices and make college decisions more quickly.
The gift comes from the Flint and Meg Gerlach Brenton Charitable Trust and will be put to use to develop the school’s ability to educate in artificial intelligence, engineering, and automation.
The partnership establishes the Early College Pathways program, which will give high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.
The Tuition Transfer Match program is in effect for the Fall 2024 semester and will give transfer students the opportunity to pay the same amount in tuition at Capital University as they would at their previous institution.
The partnership between the team and the university will provide students with job opportunities, new academic programs, and other regional benefits.
The grant project is called “Rhetorics of the Rust Belt: Framing Cleveland through transformative texts,” and was awarded via the Teagle Foundation’s “Cornerstone: Learning for Living” initiative.
The series of courses is open to the public and will address evolving to meet the needs of changing workplaces.
