Davenport University is seeing its largest on campus population ever, and saw nearly 1,000 new students joining the campus community on move in day.
Bay College and the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center have teamed up to host two Cards of Hope events for community members to write cards to veterans for Suicide Prevention Month.
Stuart Jones has accepted the executive director position at Grand Valley State University’s Annis Water Research Institute, and will begin in January. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Michigan State University’s W.K. Kellogg Biological Station at Gull Lake.

The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grant will help Tennessee Tech provide resources to students from underserved rural areas in Tennessee to help them continue their education.
The project has been in the works since the Fall 2022 semester and aims to be a more convenient way for students and faculty to move about campus, in addition to being more sustainable than physical ID cards.
The $50,000 Student Engagement, Retention and Success (SERS) grant comes from the Tennessee Board of Regents and will fund a number of elements of the school’s project “Well-Being Initiative: Cultivating Mental Wellness at Columbia State.”
The AACOM 2024 Research Grant Program awarded grants to three research teams, including Lincoln Memorial University’s team.
The grant will cover tuition and material costs for all students who want to participate, resulting in free workforce credentials for eligible individuals.
