The Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grant will help Tennessee Tech provide resources to students from underserved rural areas in Tennessee to help them continue their education.
The project has been in the works since the Fall 2022 semester and aims to be a more convenient way for students and faculty to move about campus, in addition to being more sustainable than physical ID cards.
The $50,000 Student Engagement, Retention and Success (SERS) grant comes from the Tennessee Board of Regents and will fund a number of elements of the school’s project “Well-Being Initiative: Cultivating Mental Wellness at Columbia State.”
The AACOM 2024 Research Grant Program awarded grants to three research teams, including Lincoln Memorial University’s team.
The grant will cover tuition and material costs for all students who want to participate, resulting in free workforce credentials for eligible individuals.
TCAT Knoxville is the only recipient to have received two separate GIVE grants in this round of funding.
The grant, in the amount of $1,845,162, will be used for the school’s Pathways to Accelerated Career Experiences initiative.
The $1.7 million gift comes from the estate of William A. Bernie, M.D., who helped found Wright State’s Department of Surgery.
Potential students who apply to Xavier University by November 1 will receive a response from the university by mid-December, helping students sort out their choices and make college decisions more quickly.
The gift comes from the Flint and Meg Gerlach Brenton Charitable Trust and will be put to use to develop the school’s ability to educate in artificial intelligence, engineering, and automation.
