Northeast State Community College, located in Blountville, Tennessee, was founded in 1966 as Tri-Cities State Area Vocational-Technical School. The Dental Assisting program at Northeast State Community College offers students the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to enter the workforce as an entry-level dental assistant. Students will learn radiology, chairside dental assisting, and preventative dentistry. Upon completing the program, students can take the state certification exam.

The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded almost two million dollars to Northeast State Community College for the funding of cybersecurity education, particularly among students of color. The grant will allow for new hires as well as a cyber range where students can practice what they are learning in a safe and controlled environment.
