Youngstown State University’s Bitonte College of Health and Human Services has a new program offering for the Fall 2025 semester. The Radiologic Technology program will award students with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology if they successfully complete the program, which prepares students to work as radiographers.
According to an article on Youngstown State University’s website, the program is a five-semester, 62 credit hour program, which will prepare students to sit for the certification exam from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. After completing the program and passing the certification exam, students can work as radiographers.
The program’s webpage states that the mission of the program is to “foster the development of qualified radiographers who possess the knowledge, skills, and a professional approach necessary for diagnostic medical imaging.” The program prepares students to perform diagnostic imaging services for patients, including to position patients accurately for imaging. Students will learn anatomy, basic patient care, radiation safety, and proper handling of equipment.
In order to be admitted into the program, students must first be admitted to Youngstown State University, then they must Request for Review their completion of the program’s requirements, and then they may apply for the program.
