Tiffin University and Edison State Community College present DragonNext Expedited Degree Completion Program

The DragonNext program through Tiffin University and Edison State Community College allows for students to earn an associate’s degree at Edison State Community College before easily transferring to Tiffin University at a reduced tuition rate.

Tiffin University and Edison State Community College have made an agreement to expand their ongoing partnership through the DragonNext expedited degree completion program.

The DragonNext program is a method where students can begin their academic careers at one of Tiffin’s two-year college partners before coming to Tiffin to finish their bachelor’s degree with a reduced tuition rate, and on a faster timeline.

Students who take part in the program will save not only money, but time, with the robust credit transfer process. Those who are admitted to the DragonNext program will be guaranteed the option to transfer as many as 60 credits from an associate’s degree toward the completion of their four-year degree at Tiffin University. Those who participate on campus are also able to apply for merit scholarships worth as much as $16,000 every year, with online students able to receive a discount of as much as $150 per credit hour. There are also transfer scholarships available for other students once they finish their associate’s degree.

Any applicant with at least 12 transferable credits can apply for admission to the DragonNext program. In order to be accepted into DragonNext, students must be accepted by both Edison State Community College and Tiffin University.

In an article posted on Tiffin University’s website, the school’s president Dr. Lillian Schumacher was quoted about the program, saying, “We are thrilled to expand the DragonNext program with our longtime partner. There is no doubt in my mind that this will be beneficial for both institutions. Most importantly, higher education being made more accessible will surely be advantageous to many deserving students.”

The Manager of Extended Learning and DragonNext, Kelly Petrosino, was quoted as well, saying, “Striving for the ongoing growth of the DragonNext brand, Tiffin University is pleased to declare its collaboration with Edison State Community College. Engaging with students to discuss earning bachelor’s degrees in the most streamlined manner possible brings me immense joy. Articulating the value of a high-quality education at a manageable cost has genuinely evolved into my ultimate passion.”
