Knox County Career Center trades program receives $5,000 donation from Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters

The Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters has recently donated $5,000 to Knox County Career Center’s Building Trades Program. The money will be used to buy tools, equipment, and building materials used in the program’s classes.

Knox County Career Center’s Building Trades Program recently played host to visitors from the Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters who used the visit to present the program with a $5,000 donation.

The donated funds will be used by the program to buy equipment, tools, and building materials used in the program’s classes.

Knox County Career Center Trades Program Instructor Colby Clippinger was quoted by the Knox Pages on the donation, saying, “IKORCC recognizes the need to support the local trade programs and the benefit that it brings to the Trades as a whole. Our students’ success is directly related to the industry partnerships that we have here at KCCC. We truly appreciate the support that they have given to our program and we are humbled by their donation.”

Superintendent Kathy Greenich also weighed in on the partnership, saying, “Partnerships like this one with IKORCC, where industry leaders work with our instructors and students, are imperative to training a knowledgeable workforce that result in a stronger industry and a stronger economy.”
