The partnership will provide scholarship opportunities for Ciena Healthcare’s employees and their family members.
Davenport University and Ciena Healthcare, a rehabilitation and nursing service provider, have formed a partnership through the university’s Corporate Partner Scholarship Program. The partnership will give employees of Ciena Healthcare, as well as their family members, the opportunity to attend Davenport University with up to $8,000 per year in scholarships, and a 20% discount on professional development certificates and certifications.
According to an article on Davenport University’s website, Richard J. Pappas, Ed.D., the president of the university, was quoted as saying of the partnership, “We believe that lifelong learning is essential to building a skilled, adaptable workforce. We are pleased to partner with Ciena Healthcare to support the education and professional development of their employees. By extending educational benefits to employees’ family members, this partnership helps remove barriers to higher education and supports long-term workforce and community stability.”
The Corporate Partner Scholarship Program will provide Ciena Healthcare employees with scholarships of up to $8,000 and families of Ciena Healthcare employees with up to $6,500. The family scholarships are available to spouses of employees and children of employees who are 29 years old or younger. The university’s Institute of Professional Excellence is also offering a 20% discount on professional development certificates and certifications.
