Terra State Community College has received a grant to support the college’s newly added Cross Country program, which will begin competing in the fall.

Dr. Willman joined Henry Ford College in 2023 as a Research Analyst in the school’s Institutional Research and Business Intelligence department. She also will be serving as the chair of SAFE@HFC.

Students from Oakland University participated in the annual Marine Energy Collegiate Competition, taking second, with a seawater filtration system.

The Highland County Democratic Party approached the Southern State Community College Foundation with the idea of supporting a student who wishes to develop leadership skills to improve the Highland County community.

The introduction of the AI Excellence Institute builds upon the college’s other initiatives to leverage artificial intelligence for use in education, including within classrooms and for workforce education opportunities.

The college’s Borra School of Nursing and Health Sciences was named after Pier and Renee Borra in honor of their more than two decades of support to the college.

The scholarship was established by the Dichtel family in honor of the late Ronald J. Dichtel, who founded Concord Tool and Manufacturing.

The grant, which totals just under $100,000, will allow the college to provide assistance to students who are experiencing financial hardships and keep them enrolled in school.

The college is one of nine to join the 2025 cohort. Achieving the Dream aims to help community colleges become accessible hubs of education and economic mobility.

The partnership between the school district and the college is a collaborative effort for adult education programs.
