The partnership names Grand Valley State University as Kalamazoo Valley College’s transfer partner and will allow Kalamazoo Valley College to deliver GVSU’s OMNI programming.
Dr. David Benson has been named as the professorship’s inaugural recipient. The Wayne and Susan Cady Professorship in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering is the university’s first active named professorship.
The grant comes via the National Science Foundation, which is funding a project led by Kellogg Community College and the Michigan Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges.
The projects include expanding the Charles O. Zollar Building to include a new wrestling room and upgrading the Dale A. Lyons Building to enhance music facilities.
The partnership will establish a nursing scholarship and a program to provide nursing students with job opportunities with the organization.
The agreement will give Oakland Community College students with an associate in science degree the ability to transfer to Oakland University to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
The Northern Michigan Constructors student organization won the award for Project of the Year at the university’s Leadership Recognition Banquet in April.
The agreement will see Trinity Health providing selected students in certain healthcare programs with up to $20,000 in tuition assistance in exchange for agreeing to work for Trinity Health for 18 months upon graduation.
The project is the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children (MIAEYC) Child Development Associate (CDA) Community Cohort Project.
The articulation agreement provides a transfer pathway for students with an associate degree in dental hygiene from Macomb Community College to partake in U of M’s accelerated Master of Science in Dental Hygiene online program.
