Washington State Community College has completed its leadership team by hiring a new Vice President of Student Affairs, David Hermann, who comes to the school from Lakeshore Technical College in Wisconsin.

The new nurse anesthesia specialty has been added to Ursuline College’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Program thanks to a new collaboration with the privately owned nurse anesthesia educational company, Somnia Nurse Anesthesia Program, LLC.

The University of Rio Grande will now offer a Certified Financial Advisor, an Associate of Technical Studies in Cybersecurity, a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience starting in the Fall 2023 semester.

The past year has been a big year for scholarship funding for the University of Cincinnati Clermont College, as the school saw almost $600,000 in scholarship funding. Multiple recipients spoke at the annual Community Celebration Luncheon event.

David Willey, who serves as the director of the Construction Trades Academy at Tri-Rivers Career Center, has been awarded the Life Changer of the Year Award for his work with his students.

Terra State Community College was recently approached by Autokinition about its need to train 125 new welding employees. As a result, it expanded its welding training facilities to accommodate the growing need for skilled workers in the area.

The American Association of Geographers has recognized the Geography/Geospatial Technology Department at Sinclair Community College with the 2023 Program Excellence Award for its work with students and the community.

North Central State College has been named to Achieving the Dream’s Community Vibrancy cohort and will work to improve economic and social mobility for its students while also working to improve the prosperity of the community as a whole.

Owens Community College assistant professor Dr. Sara Burke was recently honored for her commitment to her students by the American Association of Community Colleges by being placed on the prestigious Dale P. Parnell Distinguished Faculty List.
