Wittenberg University launches Preferred Partner Program with Clark State College as its first partner

The Preferred Partner Program gives discounted tuition and scholarships to professionals and their dependents at Wittenberg University. Clark State College is the first partner whose employees can benefit from the tuition discounts at Wittenberg University.

In a continued effort to make college education accessible and affordable, Wittenberg University has launched its new Preferred Partner Program, which will offer scholarships to professionals who are employees of partner organizations and their dependents to attend Wittenberg University as an undergraduate. The program will also allow for a 25% tuition discount to select master’s degree programs. As its inaugural partner in this program, Clark State College employees and their dependents are eligible to attend Wittenberg University at a discounted rate and to take advantage of scholarships.

According to an article on Wittenberg University’s website, Michael L. Frandsen, Ph.D., the president of Wittenberg University, discussed the purpose of the program. He was quoted as saying, "We are thrilled to introduce the Preferred Partnership Program as a testament to our dedication to supporting lifelong learning and career advancement. By offering tuition discounts on select graduate programs as well as undergraduate scholarships, we aim to empower individuals and organizations to thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape. We also want to thank our first partner, Clark State College, for seeing the power of this program on its campus and in the broader community we serve.”

The Preferred Partner Program will offer a 25% tuition discount to employees of partner organizations who wish to attend a select master’s degree program at Wittenberg, including the Master of Arts in Education program, the Master of Arts in Sport Administration program, and the Master of Science in Analytics program. In order to be eligible, the employee must apply and be admitted to one of the above programs. They will be able to receive the discounted rate as an employee of the partner organization, though the discount applies to tuition only, and does not cover books or other costs. If Clark State College employees or their dependents wish to attend Wittenberg University as an undergraduate, they will receive the Preferred Partner Scholarship totalling $1,000 that will be split between semesters.

Maribeth Stevens, the Vice President for Enrollment Management at Wittenberg University, expressed enthusiasm for the new program, saying, “We are excited that Clark State is our inaugural partner in this program. Our shared commitment to serving our community and previously established partnerships make our joint work on this initiative all the more rewarding. We now look forward to expanding our work together for Clark State employees to pursue a Wittenberg degree.”

Jo Alice Blondin, Ph.D., who serves as the president of Clark State College, also commented on the Preferred Partner Program and the benefits that will be seen from the partnership, saying, “At Clark State, we truly believe all individuals should have access to a quality education, including our employees. Thanks to this partnership, any Clark State employee who has been with the College for at least six months is now eligible to receive financial assistance for themselves or their children to pursue their academic goals at Wittenberg. In a world of competitive labor markets and high student loan debt, Clark State is proud to be part of an initiative that provides both employee support and workforce solutions with a trusted partner in our own backyard. It was important to the community that Clark State be Wittenberg’s inaugural partner.”
