As part of the National Writing Project (NWP) network, Northern Michigan University has launched the Northern Shores Storywork Writing Project Site.
The $7,000,000 grant from the NSF is the largest standalone federal grant Kentucky State University has ever received.
The initiatives include a transfer agreement for KCTCS students to attend Midway University and a tuition discount at Midway University for KCTCS employees and their families.
Eastern Kentucky University was striving for $10 million raised during its 2024 fiscal year, beginning on July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2024. The actual total raised was $10,005,663.
The College of Agriculture’s Department of Agricultural Economics was awarded $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture for Professor Brenna Ellison’s research.
The program has been renewed for five years thanks to a $5 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration, following an initial grant funding the implementation of the program in 2019.
West Shore Community College will host Pinnacle Truck Driver Training on campus by installing a driving pad on campus, which will also be utilized by other programs.
The university will use the grant to develop and implement a new program, Sustainable Transportation Service Technology.
The programs, which are Automation Engineering Technology, Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, Information Systems with a concentration in Web and Mobile Application Development, and Data Science, will launch in the Fall 2024 semester.
A new scholarship is available at the University of Pikeville for students who intend to practice dentistry in rural areas in Kentucky.
