Pharmacy Technician - Certificate
Students in the Pharmacy Technician program at Dyersburg State Community College will be trained in the integral duties of an entry-level pharmacy technician. The course covers topics like pharmaceutical abbreviations, medical terminology, and inventory control. After completing the course, students should feel prepared to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam.
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant - Certificate
This online program will prepare students for the role of an entry-level clinical medical assistant. Students will learn the necessary skills to become able to help keep medical offices running, like how to give injections, follow HIPAA rules, and understand scheduling systems and software. Students who successfully complete the program will be able to sit for the certification exam from the National Healthcareer Association. A voucher for the test fee is included in the program.
Clinical Dental Assistant - Certificate
Students in the online Clinical Dental Assistant program at Dyersburg State Community College will be trained in all the areas an entry-level dental assistant is expected to be proficient in. Topics covered in the course include providing patient care, preventative dentistry, and anesthesia. Students who complete the course can apply for an externship to gain valuable real-life experience, and can also take the certification exam from the Dental Assisting National Board.
