The Nursing program at Austin Peay State University prepares students to become nurse generalists. The School of Nursing has 24 expert faculty members who will guide students through the program. Courses included in the Nursing program include Fundamentals of Nursing, Trends and Issues of Professional Nursing, and Intro to Psychology.
The partnership has been designed to help ease workforce shortages in the area of power line maintenance and repair.
The initiative began in 2018 and has since raised more than $50,000 thanks to generous donations from students of each graduating class since. The 2024 graduating class has raised almost $11,000.
The Rho Kappa Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Alumni Association made the decision to convert a recent gift they gave to Austin Peay State University into an endowment to benefit the university’s students.
