The Detroit Promise is a program that provides free college tuition to students who live in Detroit and attend Detroit schools. St. Clair County Community College is now affiliated with the program so Detroit students can attend there for free, as well.
A new wheelchair basketball team will begin this fall at St. Clair County Community College after the school hosted a wheelchair basketball event at its fieldhouse last year.
More than 100 hands-on, interactive STEM exhibits will be available to members of the public on March 11 at St. Clair County Community College. The event is put on through the school, Michigan Tech Mind Trekkers, the Leslie Science and Nature Center, and the Ann Arbor Hands On Museum.
St. Clair County Community College is offering fast path classes, classes that cover the same material as regular classes but at a quicker pace, to students and members of the community who either want to gain more credits more quickly, or explore other areas of interest without the time commitment of normally paced classes.
