Advanced Nursing Assistant
The Advanced Nursing Assistant program provides knowledge and skills for nurse aides to assume the role and responsibility required in a variety of health care settings. Additionally, courses taken in this program may apply towards other health care programs.
Health Science Technology
The 60-63 credit Health Science Technology (HST) program is designed to prepare students for entry-level career opportunities in the field of healthcare and health-related services. The program is designed for those students who seek entry level jobs as well as for the currently employed individual wishing to broaden skills for career enhancement.
Medical Information Technology
Medical Information Technology graduates prepare medical records and reports, maintain paper and electronic files, order supplies, perform accounting procedures, work with medical insurance and coding, and receive patients in a variety of health care settings. Some of the diplomas include Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Insurance Coder, Electronic Medical Records, and Medical Compliance. Students enrolled in the degree or diploma programs are required to do an internship or capstone course.
In this program, laboratory and classroom experiences are combined to prepare students for administrative careers in health care facilities. Program classes are optimized for online learning and students can complete all courses remote. Degree and diploma students will complete an internship/capstone course to get hands-on learning experience on-site with a local employer.

The new Career Closet at Ashland Community and Technical College has opened to help students and alumni obtain appropriate interview attire such as slacks and dress shirts as they move forward in their career paths.
In mid-April, Ashland Community and Technical College’s honor society chapter Alpha Alpha Alpha held its first induction ceremony welcoming several students, faculty, and staff into its ranks.
