For the 18th year in a row, the University of FIndlay has been ranked as one of the U.S. News and World Reports’ best colleges in the nation, also receiving praise for its occupational therapy, online bachelor’s in business, and financial aid programs.

The University of Findlay has been named among the Best National Universities by the U.S. News and World Reports 2023-2024 edition of “Best Colleges.” The university has been named one of the best by the News and World Report for 18 years running now, including this year. Overall, the University of Findlay ranked 332nd against all national universities, and was placed among the top 100 universities for two different specific programs: Best Occupational Therapy Programs and Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs.

For its most recent edition of “Best Colleges,” U.S. News and World Reports analyzed almost 1,500 accredited, four-year schools around the country, using 19 different metrics to assess academic quality. In each category, universities and colleges were given a composite weighted score that was ranked against that of their peer schools. The 2024 Best National University Rankings looked at student selectivity, financial resources, expert opinion, faculty resources, retention rates, and graduation rates when making its rankings. The full rankings can be found here.

In an article posted on the University of Findlay’s website, University President Katherine Fell, Ph.D. was quoted about the school’s ranking as saying, “To be included in this prestigious, national ranking of universities is certainly an honor. This achievement is made possible by dedicated faculty and staff, highly motivated students, and a supportive community beyond our campus.”

The University of Findlay also found itself ranked in the Social Mobility category. This category looks at universities that enroll and graduate large numbers of economically disadvantaged students who are awarded Pell Grants, presenting them with more economic opportunities than they might otherwise have been afforded. Findlay was praised for its efforts to provide these students with additional financial aid, while ensuring that its students had access to a range of support services that increased graduation rates, regardless of a student’s economic status.

All of the categories and rankings determined by the U.S. News and World Reports Rankings can be found on the organization’s website.
