The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs has granted Walsh University’s DeVille School of Business with an accreditation of its business programs.
The DeVille School of Business at Walsh University has recently been awarded with accreditation of its business programs after an extensive evaluation period conducted by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (or ACBSP) Baccalaureate, Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners.
In an article posted on Walsh University’s website, the Interim Dean of the DeVille School of Business, Dr. Michael A. Petrochuck, talked about the accreditation, saying, “Our recently-earned ACBSP accreditation is a testament to our transformative curriculum and excellent faculty. More than that, ACBSP recognized that we make a difference in our students’ lives every day – preparing them for successful business leadership careers.”
This specialized business accreditation provides DeVIlle School of Business students a competitive advantage as they begin their careers. Dr. Petrochuck noted that “as one of the top business schools in the region, we leverage real-life experiences, faculty with professional experiences, and unique networking opportunities to deliver business graduates who make a difference.” Walsh University’s DeVille School of Business undergraduate and graduate students will now have a better chance to succeed in the modern world of business.
Students attending the DeVIlle School of Business are offered ten undergraduate majors, four Master of Business Administration Specialties, and four degree completion programs. Graduates of the school have been hired by some of the largest and most successful companies in the world.
ACBSP has been around for over three decades where it has promoted excellence in global business program accreditation. It was also the first organization to offer specialized business accreditation for all degree levels including associate, baccalaureate, and doctoral degree programs. Accreditation from ACBSP certifies that the learning and teaching processes within the programs and business degrees offered through Walsh University meet the high educational standards that the ACBSP has established.
ACBSP accreditation is based on the Baldridge Education Criteria for Performance Excellence which evaluates aspects of educational support, faculty credentials, quality of academic programs, relationships with stakeholders, strategic planning, and aspects of leadership to determine whether the business programs in question are offering a high level educational experience and have a continuous quality improvement.
Dr. Steve Parscale, who serves as Chief Accreditation Officer for ACBSP, was quoted about Walsh University, saying, “Walsh University has shown its commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process. This accreditation is evidence that Walsh University is committed to providing the highest quality business education for their students.”
