Belmont College has hired two new faculty members to enhance the quality of its Radiologic Technology program. The two new individuals who have been hired bring with them decades of experience working in the field, ensuring the students who train through the college’s two-year program will receive the type of education and skills that will serve them in the workforce.
Christine Sentz, RT(R)(CT), BTAS, has been hired as the program’s new Acting Director. Sentz was educated at the University of Cincinnati, Kent State University, and the Aultman School of Radiologic Technology. She holds an associate degree, a bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, and a Radiologic Technology Certificate. She has 26 years of experience in the field of radiologic technology.
In an article on Belmont College’s website, Sentz is quoted as saying of her new role, “I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve as Radiology Director at Belmont and to continue building a program that empowers students to thrive both professionally and personally. I look forward to working alongside our students and faculty to advance excellence in radiologic technology education.”
Tammy Corey, a Registered Radiologic Technologist, will serve as the new Acting Clinical Coordinator. She earned her degree from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and has 19 years of experience in the field, in both radiologic technology and in orthopedics. She spent three years educating students at Allegheny General Hospital and now, in a different location, works as a phlebotomist and radiologic technologist. She has also been an online instructor for Belmont College.
Corey said, “I am excited to start this new chapter with Belmont College and appreciate the opportunity to serve as Clinical Coordinator of the Radiology Program.”
The Radiologic Technology program at Belmont College awards students with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology, which allows them to work in entry-level radiography positions.
