The new RN to BSN program features convenient online coursework and hands-on practicum opportunities to help prepare current registered nurses to become bachelor-degree-holding nurses.
Stark State College is introducing its new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program that is enrolling for the Fall 2025 semester. The program has been designed to benefit individuals who are working as registered nurses or have an associate degree in nursing who want to move forward in their nursing career with a bachelor degree.
According to an article on Stark State College’s website, Para M. Jones, Ph.D., who serves as the president of Stark State College, explained the new program. Jones is quoted as saying, “Our new Bachelor of Science in Nursing program addresses the critical need for nurses. It benefits working nurses who want to complete the BSN while working, and it benefits hospitals and health care employers who need more bachelor-degree nurses. It also makes bachelor’s-degree education more affordable and accessible to working professionals. We’re thrilled to offer nurses in our community a high-quality, affordable opportunity to advance their career.”
The program is both flexible and affordable, providing online coursework to working nurses so that they can complete the four-semester program around their working schedule. Stark State College offers the program at the lowest tuition of any school in the region, maximizing students’ time and money as they pursue more advanced nursing knowledge.
Lada Gibson-Shreve, Ph.D., the college’s provost and chief academic officer, said, “Stark State’s RN to BSN Pathway program builds on our long history of excellence in nursing education. Hands-on practicum experiences are tailored to real, workforce-based learning that enable students to explore specialty nursing practice, advanced nursing roles and alternative practice settings.”
