Construction to begin soon on new Center for Innovation and Learning at Tiffin University

A ground-breaking ceremony for the new center will be held in April.

Tiffin University is tearing down five houses near the Pfeiffer Library to make way for its new Center for Innovation and Learning.

According to a press release on Tiffin University’s website, President Schumacher was quoted as saying of the new center, “The Center for Innovation and Learning reflects our commitment to providing an unparalleled educational experience for our students. By investing in advanced infrastructure and modern learning spaces, we are ensuring that Tiffin University remains a leader in fostering intellectual curiosity and innovation.”

The new Center for Innovation and Learning will be expansive and able to house many different learning spaces. The building will span 30,000 square feet and will hold classrooms, a boardroom, and the Center for Entrepreneurship. Every space within the Center for Innovation and Learning will be equipped with new technology in order to foster learning. The Center for Entrepreneurship will become a hub at which Tiffin students will have the opportunity to network with the community and learn from Tiffin faculty.

The university plans to keep students updated regularly on the progress of demolition and the subsequent construction.
