Belmont College’s most recent Practical Nursing graduates received 100% pass rate on NCLEX exam

The national average pass rate on the NCLEX exam is 86.4%.

Belmont College is celebrating the success of its most recent cohort of Practical Nursing graduates who achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination.

According to an article on Belmont College’s website, Karolyn Fox, who serves as the school’s Director of Nursing, discussed the reasons behind the success of the students, saying, “We provide mentoring to our graduates at no cost for up six months or until they sit for the NCLEX exam for the first time. This guidance consists of monitoring graduates’ progress on NCLEX preparation electronic software that mimics the NCLEX exam. We work hard to support our graduates as they prepare to take the exam. Our commitment to our graduates does not end on graduation day, as the possibility of passing the licensure exam currently goes down to 42% to 50% should they need to repeat the exam. Our goal is that all graduates pass the licensure exam on their first attempt so they can enter the workforce as quickly as possible.”

In addition to its Practical Nursing program, Belmont College also offers an associate degree in Nursing program. The most recent graduates of that program achieved a 94.1% pass rate on the NCLEX exam. Both programs focus on introducing students to nursing concepts under the instruction of skilled nursing professionals who mentor and encourage students throughout the programs.

Dr. Paul F. Gasparro, the president of Belmont College, expressed his happiness with the outcomes of the NCLEX exams, saying, “We are proud of our long history as a nursing program serving and meeting the needs of our community.”

Fox added, “We are incredibly proud of our graduates. Our nursing faculty is honored to have had the chance to watch them succeed.”
