Muskegon Community College is hosting its MCC Expo on October 28. One event taking place at the expo is the awarding of a two-year scholarship.
On October 28, Muskegon Community College's MCC Expo will take place at the MCC Health & Wellness Center from 11am to 1pm. The expo will show prospective students and the public as a whole what Muskegon Community College has to offer.
According to an article on Muskegon Community College’s website, the expo will showcase the school’s 80 programs and financial aid offerings. Faculty will be on hand to discuss the available programs and answer any questions there may be about the school’s offerings.
During the expo, one lucky recipient will be awarded a two-year scholarship to Muskegon Community College. The president of the school, Dr. John Selmon, will present the winner with their prize at the end of the expo. The scholarship is able to be awarded to anyone with a high school diploma or GED. The winner of the scholarship must redeem the scholarship within one year of receiving it, and the scholarship is transferable.
In addition to the free two-year scholarship being awarded, information will be available about the Michigan Reconnect Scholarship, which provides tuition-free scholarships to Michigan residents age 21 and older.
Refreshments and additional prizes will be available at the expo for anyone in attendance.
