West Kentucky Community and Technical College to offer more enrollment opportunities ahead of fall semester

The West Kentucky Community and Technical College Admissions Roadshow hits the road today to meet with members of the community who may be interested in enrolling at the school. Offices on campus will also be open longer in the coming days to maximize the amount of aid potential students can receive.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College is offering several different ways to help students who are interested in enrolling in Fall 2023 classes, such as the admissions team heading out to visit local communities and extending application hours.

The West Kentucky Community and Technical College Admissions Roadshow is underway, and is a way for members of the school’s admissions team to get out into the community and meet potential students and their families around the West Kentucky area. The roadshow runs from July 31 through August 5.

In an article posted on West Kentucky Community and Technical College’s website, Trent Johnson, admissions director, was quoted speaking about the roadshow, saying, "We are meeting students in their communities to talk with them about applying and enrolling at WKCTC, sharing about our academic programs, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and to answer any questions. There is still time for students to enroll, and we want to help them join the WKCTC family."

The West Kentucky Community and Technical College Admissions Roadshow will take place at Graves County High School on July 31 from 4pm until 7pm, Marshall County High School on August 1 from 4pm until 7pm, Murray/Calloway County Area Technology Center on August 3 from 4pm until 7pm, and Kentucky Oaks Mall on August 5 from 12pm until 5pm.

West Kentucky Community and Technical College bookstore, business offices, financial aid, records, advising, and admissions will be open longer than normal, from 8am until 6pm, Monday through Thursday, August 7-10. The school will also be operating at normal business hours on Friday, August 11 from 8am until 4pm. The college bookstore will be open from 10am until 2pm on Saturday, August 12. All student services offices are located in the Anderson Technical Building on campus.

Over 200 different credentials are offered at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, including degree and diploma programs as well as certificate programs in a wide range of academic and career programs that can lead students to transfer to a four year university, or directly into the workforce if they so desire. The school also offers evening and online class options for students in need of flexible scheduling. Some of the short term certificate programs on offer can be finished in a few as four months.

Although there will be more availability in the coming days, departments and officers will be closed on August 4 for staff and faculty in-service.

The Fall semester will start on August 14. More information about how to enroll in West Kentucky Community and Technical College can be obtained by contacting admissions over email at wkctcenrollment@kctcs.edu or by phone at 270-534-3435.
