Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is offering three introductory classes at its Meade County Center. The classes are one night a week and are nearly three hours long per session.
Elizabethtown Community and Technical College's Meade County Center will now offer new evening classes this fall. The goal of these new offerings is to make college more convenient and accessible for students in Meade county and the surrounding area.
In an article posted on Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s website, the school’s Workforce Development Liaison Mike Barbieri was quoted about this new offering, saying, “The ECTC Meade County Center is a great way to offer more options to students. In-person classes in Brandenburg, as well as our online offerings, will help more local students find the flexibility they need to accomplish their education and training goals.”
The newly added class offerings are Writing I (ENG 101), which will be offered on Tuesdays, Introduction to Computers (CIT 105) on Wednesdays, and General Psychology (PSY 110) on Thursdays. All of the newly offered classes will take place from 6-8:45 p.m. from August 14 through December 10. The classes will take place at Meade County High School. Elizabethtown Community and Technical College’s offerings could also expand in the upcoming Spring 2024 semester.
“This is an exciting time in Meade County, and we’re excited to grow alongside the community,” said Barbieri.
Students located in Perry, Crawford, and Harrison counties in Indiana are encouraged to consider these new class offerings. Students who live in these counties are qualified for the school’s in-state tuition prices for classes offered both at the Meade County Center, and ECTC’s online classes as well. Currently, ECTC offers Kentucky’s lowest tuition at $186 per credit hour.
