Ohio University’s RN to BSN nursing program ranked top among public schools by allnurses

The RN to BSN Nursing Program at Ohio University made top rankings from allnurses, an organization that provides mentorship to aspiring nurses.

The RN to BSN Nursing Program at Ohio University was recently ranked number one among public schools and second overall in the country by a digital nursing community called allnurses. Allnurses aims to provide mentorship for people who are seeking to develop a nursing career.

The ranking noted Ohio University’s RN to BSN nursing program’s admission rate of 87% and its post graduation employment rate as 93% for why it placed the program so high in the ranking. It also mentioned the program's affordability, noting that the program is one of the more affordable online RN to BSN programs in America, which opens up the opportunity for nurses to continue their education without the hurdle of finances in the way.

The methodology allnurses used to determine its rankings was to look at NCLEX examination scores, admission rates, program duration, mode, price, student to faculty ratio, and graduation rates. The NCLEX examination is a national examination, the passing of which is required for attaining a nursing license in the United States.

Ohio University’s fully online RN to BSN program has won several awards and prides itself on both its affordability and its flexibility. The program is designed for nurses who are already working in the healthcare field and allows for enrolled students to graduate in as little as a year. As the program is entirely online, students can schedule their education time such that they can maintain a full time work schedule while earning their BSN.

Nurses with an associate degree often find little difficulty qualifying for entry level nursing positions; however, earning a BSN degree both enhances skills and knowledge and positions nurses for higher career entry and advancement, as well as higher pay.

Ohio University’s School of Nursing, in which the RN to BSN program exists, consistently ranks as one of the best schools of nursing in the nation. It has been ranked the best nursing school in Ohio by Niche, and is ranked by U.S. News and World Report as a top BAS program in America.

The School of Nursing at Ohio University is part of the College of Health Sciences and Professions, which is one of the biggest health sciences colleges in the country.
