Mount Saint Joseph University partners with Delhi Township to move Physician Assistant program to Delhi Towne Square

The partnership includes the university’s $2.5 million investment in Delhi Towne Square to transform 7,000 square feet into a dedicated Physician Assistant education space.

Mount Saint Joseph University has partnered with Delhi Township, which is located west of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, to move the university’s Physician Assistant program to Delhi Towne Square. As part of the partnership, the university will invest $2.5 million into Delhi Towne Square and transform 7,000 square feet of its space into a dedicated Physician Assistant education facility.

According to an article on Mount Saint Joseph University's website, Dr. H. James Williams, the university’s president, was quoted as saying of the partnership, “The Mount has a long and distinguished history of preparing healthcare professionals to serve our region, and beyond. This investment will create opportunities for more students, strengthen our ability to respond to the region's healthcare workforce needs, and provide a learning environment designed specifically for physician assistant education. To take this step in partnership with Delhi Township, the community we have proudly called home since our founding in 1920, makes it especially meaningful.”

The partnership will provide the university with a dedicated facility near campus that will house its physician assistant program, and the township will receive an investment into the Towne Square plaza, with additional visitors to the town center daily thanks to students, faculty, and staff members. The Delhi Towne Square is located approximately one and a half miles from the university’s campus, providing students with a close commute to their classes.

Mike Davis, who serves as the Chair of the Delhi Township Board of Trustees, said, “Bringing the Mount's Physician Assistant Program to Delhi Towne Square is a significant win for our community. This partnership puts the development's remaining tenant space to productive use, generates long-term revenue for the Township, and brings new activity to our town center. It builds upon our longstanding relationship with the Mount and advances our vision for Delhi Towne Square as a vibrant destination for residents, businesses, and visitors.”

The new Physician Assistant program facility will feature classrooms, clinical examination and simulation suites, and spaces for students to study and collaborate. BHDP Architecture will work with the program’s faculty to finalize plans for the space to ensure all of the program’s needs are met. The new site is expected to open in January 2028.

The university will have an initial 10 year lease on the space, with the option to extend the lease for an additional decade. The program’s former home on the university’s campus will become available for other needs in the future.
