The partnership will offer tuition discounts, guaranteed admission, and priority preference for scholarship awards. Eligible programs include education, healthcare, and cybersecurity.
Cedarville University has partnered with Geneva College in Pennsylvania for several agreements that will provide students with clear paths to graduate programs and in turn, higher paying jobs in high-demand fields. In three separate agreements forged by the institutions, students will be able to transfer into programs for studies in education, healthcare, and cybersecurity.
According to an article on Cedarville University’s website, Dr. Janice Supplee, who serves as the dean of graduate studies at Cedarville University, was quoted as saying of the first agreement, which provides eligible Geneva College students with preferred enrollment into Cedarville University’s graduate healthcare programs, “We are excited to welcome Geneva College students into Cedarville’s health care graduate programs. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to academic excellence and Christ-centered education while expanding access to high-quality, mission-driven health care training.”
Per this agreement, students from Geneva College who meet eligibility requirements may be granted priority enrollment, tuition discounts, and other benefits when entering into Cedarville University’s pharmacy, nursing, athletic training, and physician assistant studies programs. The agreement also provides Geneva College students entering into Cedarville University’s PharmD program with scholarships and mentoring opportunities, guaranteed admission for Geneva College students entering into the university’s Master of Athletic Training and Master of Science in Nursing programs, and preferred review for students hoping to enter into the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
Another of the new agreements is a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow for students from Cedarville University who have completed the graduate certificate in cybersecurity management to transfer up to 12 of their credits toward Geneva College’s online Master of Science in cybersecurity program. The agreement will waive application fees and deposits, and will provide a 25% tuition discount. In order to be eligible to participate in this transfer program, students must have a B or higher in required classes.
The final of the new agreements is an opportunity for staff and alumni of Cedarville University to enter into Geneva College’s Master of Arts in Higher Education program. Eligible Cedarville employees will receive a 25% tuition reduction to participate in the program and Cedarville alumni will receive a 10% tuition reduction. Those who participate will receive customized field experience and professional development.
The goal of each of these agreements is to help students achieve graduate degrees through streamlined pathways that will lead to in-demand employment opportunities.
