Madonna University launches two new programs in partnership with RIZE Education

The new programs, business analytics and cybersecurity, have both been developed to meet current workforce needs and to help students get into in-demand careers.

Madonna University has formed a consortium partnership with RIZE Education to introduce and launch two new programs: business analytics and cybersecurity. The programs, which are now open for enrollment, have been created to meet industry needs and will prepare students with the skills they need to enter into an in-demand career.

According to an article on Madonna University’s website, Dr. Jessica Cummings, who serves as the dean of the School of Business, was quoted as saying of the partnership with RIZE Education and its role in creating the new cybersecurity program, "Madonna University's School of Business is pleased to provide our students with access to rigorous cybersecurity training through our consortium partnership with RIZE. The partnership provides students access to cutting-edge learning and real-world skills while allowing them to experience the vibrant, supportive campus life that makes our university so special. We are proud to be part of something that prepares students for tomorrow's challenges, right here in a community that inspires them every day.”

RIZE Education’s website states that it “help[s] colleges and universities increase enrollment by partnering on a shared mission and creating value for students.” It describes itself as offering a program sharing model that gives partner schools the ability to introduce new programs without the usual lengthy timeline and costly efforts of the typical program addition process. In addition to the programs it is helping Madonna University launch, it also offers programs like supply chain management, public health, accounting, artificial intelligence literacy, and more.

The new Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics program will prepare students to work as data scientists, business analysts, machine learning engineers, and more. Students can expect to work in various industries, like healthcare, technology, and finance, among others, with a starting salary around $60,000. Students will learn both the fundamentals of business analytics and more advanced concepts, allowing them to enter into the workforce with the necessary skills.

Frank Notturno, who is the Undergraduate Chair of the School of Business, said of the application of such knowledge in today’s workforce, "Today's businesses collect a wide range of data on everything from consumer preferences and buying habits to production and supply chain performance. They rely on the accurate analysis of this data to make strategic and tactical decisions, and to solve business problems."

The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program will prepare students to work in government, healthcare, technology, and other organizations with the goal of protecting the organizations’ systems from cybersecurity threats. Throughout the program, students can earn various certifications that will increase their knowledge and their hireability.
