Indiana Institute of Technology forms two partnerships

The new partnerships with Sweetwater and Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana will offer the organizations’ members and employees tuition discounts and other benefits.

Indiana Institute of Technology has recently formed two new partnerships that will give two organizations the benefit of reduced tuition for their employees, among other benefits. The partnerships have been formed between Indiana Tech and Sweetwater, one of the largest employers in northeast Indiana, and Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, an organization that offers a Leadership Institute in the area.

According to an article on Indiana Tech’s website, Dr. Steve Herendeen, who serves as the senior vice president for strategic enrollment management at Indiana Tech, was quoted as saying of the new partnership with Sweetwater, “Indiana Tech is excited to partner with outstanding employers like Sweetwater. Sweetwater is not only a pillar in the Fort Wayne community, but a company that truly invests in its people. We’re honored to support their employees in pursuing educational goals that will benefit them and the region as a whole.”

The agreement between Indiana Tech and Sweetwater provides all Sweetwater employees with a 20% reduction in tuition to the more than 100 online degree and certificate programs offered by Indiana Tech. The corporate scholarship will apply to both undergraduate and graduate programs, giving Sweetwater employees the opportunity to advance their careers while taking advantage of discounted education costs.

Rachel Ritchie, the talent development manager at Sweetwater, said of the partnership, “This partnership gives our employees a powerful opportunity to grow. By helping them further their education, we’re not only supporting their individual goals—we’re also strengthening our company with team members who bring new knowledge, skills and perspectives to the table.”

In addition to the discounted tuition, Sweetwater employees will also be able to take advantage of personalized guidance to help them navigate their Indiana Tech journey. These services include academic advising, tutoring, and personalized admissions help.

In a separate article on Indiana Tech’s website, Herendeen was quoted as saying of the similar partnership with Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana, “Historically, members of YLNI and graduates of its Leadership Institute are movers and shakers within the region; professionals who care about personal growth adding positively to the fabric of the community. Indiana Tech is pleased to help these individuals develop as professionals and pursue lifelong learning.”

The agreement with Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana includes a 20% tuition reduction in online undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees. The agreement also states that anyone who graduates from the Leadership Institute, beginning with the Class of 2025, will be eligible to receive credit for Indiana Tech’s MBA 5050: Executive Leadership course.
