Indiana University Southeast creates expedited admissions process for Hanover College graduates

The expedited admissions process applies to students who have graduated from Hanover College and seek to attend Indiana University Southeast for a graduate program.

Indiana University Southeast and Hanover College have come together to create an expedited admissions process that will benefit any student who has graduated from Hanover College and wants to attend Indiana University Southeast for a graduate program. The pathway was established via a memorandum of understanding between the two schools that was signed by Chancellor Debbie Ford of Indiana University Southeast and President Lake Lambert of Hanover College.

According to an article on Indiana University Southeast’s website, Ford described her enthusiasm for the agreement, saying, “We are pleased to form this partnership which will allow Hanover College graduates a pathway to affordable graduate degrees. Our graduate business and education programs are nationally accredited and recognized for their quality and academic rigor. Graduates of these programs go on to meaningful careers, most in our region, benefitting the area’s economy while serving the needs of local businesses and non-profit organizations.”

In order to be eligible for the expedited admissions process, a student must obtain an undergraduate degree from Hanover College and meet the admission requirements as set by Indiana University Southeast. These qualifying students will not have to supply letters of recommendation, write essays, or pay any application fees in order to enroll at Indiana University Southeast. Additionally, there will be no testing requirements for entry.

The programs that Hanover College students may apply to partake in at Indiana University Southeast are Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Management, Master of Science in Strategic Finance, and Master of Interdisciplinary Studies. As a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies student, individuals can select a pre-existing track of study, which include Applied Behavioral Sciences, Applied Science & Instruction, Digital Media, Gender Studies, Health Humanities, International Studies, Organizational Leadership and Communication, and Post-Secondary Instruction, or they can create their own path of study. Additionally, students can choose to study in the Teaching Licensing Pathway in Elementary, Secondary, Early Childhood, or Special Education.

Lambert said, “Hanover College is committed to preparing its students for the future and providing opportunities to continue their education. By providing streamlined admission to several of IU Southeast’s graduate programs, we are able to expand our ability to help students thrive. We look forward to partnering with IU Southeast in this new endeavor.”
