Ivy Tech Community College’s 2023-2025 strategic plan, called the Higher Education at the Speed of Life plan, has been approved by the board of trustees. The plan has four main goals, focusing on students, the workforce, internal operations, and teachers.
The Ivy Tech Community College State Board of Trustees has recently approved the school’s 203-2025 Strategic plan called Higher Education at the Speed of Life.
Higher Education at the Speed of Life focuses on four different goals: Operational Excellence, Student Experience, Workforce and Careers, and Teaching and Learning. There is also an updated list of revised metrics and values contained within the plan that will help push for outcomes that align more closely with Indiana’s goals for higher education attainment and completion.
In a press release on the school’s website, Ivy Tech’s President Dr. Sue Ellspermann talked about the Higher Education at the Speed of Life plan, saying, “Our new strategic plan doubles down on ensuring the success of all Hoosiers and employers through world-class education and credentials which meet students where they are and directly translate to high value careers and economic prosperity.”
Stephanie Bibbs, who serves as the Chairwoman of the Ivy Tech Board of Trustees, said, “On behalf of the College’s State Board of Trustees, I look forward to the implementation of Ivy Tech’s new strategic plan as we continue to elevate the value of what an Ivy Tech education can do for Hoosiers across Indiana.”

Another goal is to develop and refine the Ivy+ Suite, which is a system for students and faculty that includes Ivy+ Tuition and Textbooks, Ivy+ IT Academy, and Ivy+ Career Link.

The school is also partnering with the State of Indiana on the college’s Achieve Your Degree program which aims to upskill 10,000 state employees who do not yet have a degree.
The college is also partnering with GUILD Education, works with both Indiana-based and nationwide companies like Kohl’s, Target, and Walmart, to better invest in their employees by offering them opportunities for professional and personal growth.
