Campbellsville University School of Nursing partners with Air Evac Life Team for employee tuition discounts

The partnership will provide discounted online RN-to-BSN and MSN coursework for Air Evac Life team nurses.

Campbellsville University School of Nursing has partnered with Air Evac Life Team to provide its employees with tuition discounts for online RN-to-BSN and MSN coursework. The partnership represents a shared commitment to educating nurses and giving nurses the tools they need to help and serve the community.

According to an article on Campbellsville University’s website, Dr. Michele Dickens, who serves as the Dean of the School of Nursing, was quoted as saying of the partnership, “We are honored to collaborate with the Air Evac Life team in supporting their dedicated nurses. This partnership creates an accessible pathway for professional growth, empowering nurses to further their education without stepping away from the vital work they do every day. By offering this opportunity, we are investing in the future of nursing and in the health of the communities these nurses serve.”

Air Evac Lifeteam, according to its website, is a “provider of emergent air medical transportation services, operating more than 150 helicopter air ambulance bases across 10 states. Our crews, consisting of a pilot, a flight nurse and a flight paramedic, are on duty seven days a week to respond to the scene of a medical emergency or to transport patients between medical facilities.”

The company’s flight nurses are eligible to enroll in Campbellsville University’s RN-to-BSN and MSN program, which are delivered online and in a flexible format, providing them with the opportunity to advance their education while maintaining their schedules and professional responsibilities. Among the program options are the RN-to-BSN program for current registered nurses, the BSN through the Continual Enrollment Program (CEP) for individuals with an ADN/AASN, the M.S.N. - Family Nurse Practitioner program, and the M.S.N. - Nurse Educator program.

These programs will help Air Evac Lifeteam nurses build upon their existing foundational nursing skills and strengthen their leadership, evidence-based practice, community health, and healthcare management skills.

Dan Durham, the Senior Program Director of Air Evac Life Team, said, “This is a great opportunity to expand the education opportunities for our flight nurses. We are excited to partner with Campbellsville University School of Nursing to offer this to all our flight nurses across our company.”
