Pandora Neuhart Memorial Scholarship established at Belmont College

Pandora Neuhart was a member of the Belmont College Board of Trustees for 12 years. Her friends and family have honored her legacy by providing funding for the new scholarship.

A new scholarship has been established at Belmont College in honor of the late Pandora Neuhart, a former member of the Belmont College Board of Trustees. The Pandora Neuhart Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one student annually who is pursuing their education at Belmont College.

According to an article on Belmont College’s website, Suzanne Pollock, a former Belmont College Board of Trustees member, was quoted as saying of Neuhart, “Pandora dedicated herself to making Monroe County a better place to live through her involvement on numerous committees and community efforts. She was humble, kind, and never sought recognition for her contributions, but she deeply believed in the mission of Belmont College and often shared that the College was ‘a terrific match for the hardworking, honest citizens of her home county.’ Her friends are honored to recognize her legacy through this year’s scholarship and hope others will continue to support this effort for many years to come.”

Neuhart was an alumna of Belmont College who earned degrees in Accounting and Computer Programming. She spent her life advocating for education and community service, and was a member of the Belmont College Board of Trustees for 12 years. She was later bestowed the title Trustee Emeritus. Neuhart was a County Auditor for Monroe County after first becoming elected to the position in 1998 and being re-elected four times. She was often recognized for her strong work ethic and leadership skills.

The Pandora Neuhart Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to one student per year as funds are available. The $1,000 scholarship will go to a Monroe County resident or student within the Switzerland of Ohio School District who is enrolled in any degree or certificate program at Belmont College. Preference will be given to students who are seeking retraining or career transition opportunities.
