The Pathway Portal partnership will help students and alumni of Illinois Valley Community College transfer into 28 bachelor degree programs at Franklin University.
Franklin University has formed a Pathway Portal partnership with Illinois Valley Community College in order to help more learners pursue bachelor degrees via seamless degree pathways. The new partnership will help students and alumni of Illinois Valley Community College enter into one of 28 bachelor degree programs at Franklin University. The Pathway Portal partnership program was first launched by Franklin University in 2023 and it connects students from 38 partner institutions to bachelor degrees from the university.
According to an article on Franklin University’s website, Crystal Credi, who serves as the dean of student success at Illinois Valley Community College, was quoted as saying of the partnership, “Illinois Valley Community College has built a proud legacy of student-centered excellence, recognized for its commitment to innovation and community impact. Our partnership with Franklin University aligns with that mission, creating a clear, affordable pathway for our students to complete their bachelor’s degrees and continue achieving success beyond IVCC.”
The Pathway Portal online tool alleviates stress and uncertainty that can come along with the credit transfer process. Students can see exactly how their earned credits from associate degrees will transfer into bachelor degree programs at the university. The tool also includes information about the degree programs and provides personalized guidance so students can be sure they are making the right decisions.
Eligible students and alumni of IVCC can attend Franklin University through the Pathway Portal program at a special tuition rate of $298 per hour, a significant cost savings that will apply for all of their credits at the university.
Franklin University currently partners with community colleges in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, and West Virginia for the Pathway Portal program.
