Malone University partners with Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity becomes the latest partner in the university’s Earn and Learn program, which provides students with opportunities to experience various workplaces while still in school.

Habitat for Humanity has joined Malone University’s Earn and Learn partnership program, giving students the opportunity to apply their classroom learning in a workplace setting before they graduate, setting them up for networking and career opportunities after graduation. Habitat for Humanity, which is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry that helps provide affordable housing for those in need, will give Malone University students the chance to apply their Christ-centered learning to a Christian ministry work opportunity.

According to an article on Malone University’s website, Blaise Brankatelli, who serves as the university’s director of graduate and professional admissions and external partnerships, was quoted as saying of the new partnership, “We are thrilled to welcome Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio as our newest Learn and Earn partner. As a fellow nonprofit rooted in Christian values, they share our deep commitment to serving others and strengthening our community. Together, we’re investing in the growth of Canton and the surrounding region while providing experiential learning for our students.”

Malone University and Habitat for Humanity’s aligned Christian values make for an ideal partnership through the Earn and Learn initiative, as it gives students the chance to apply their knowledge to ministry and stewardship in East Ohio.

Beth Lechner, the CEO of Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio, said, “At Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio, we’re proud to partner with Malone University through the Learn and Earn program. This impactful collaboration gives students real-world experience in nonprofit ministry while making a lasting difference. With many of our team members proudly representing Malone, it’s especially meaningful to see today’s students step into purpose-driven work and choose to grow their careers right here in our community.”
