Motlow State Community College has received authorization as a Certified Training Center for Mitsubishi and is now able to offer its students Mitsubishi Electric Automation courses at its Automation & Robotics Training Center in McMinnville, Tennessee.
According to an article on Motlow State Community College’s website, Tom Majewski, who serves as the Workforce Development Manager at Mitsubishi Electric Automation, was quoted as saying of this new partnership, "Partnering with Motlow State College enables us to better serve our customers in Tennessee and the surrounding area by providing convenient, high-quality training that builds technical skills critical for today's workforce. We’re excited to support industry growth and skill development through this collaboration with Motlow State."
The partnership will allow local industries to take advantage of the training opportunities that can be found right in town, cutting down on travel expenses that would normally apply to training opportunities like this. Motlow State Community College will offer the GX Works3 Programming course, among others, that involves programming Mitsubishi Electric PLCs using GX Works3 software. Local employers will be able to train their employees with these courses to help them stay on top of current automation practices.
