Roane State Community College unveils new athletics website

After months of hard work, Roane State University’s athletics department has a new website. The site has up to date news and information for fans and students.

There is a new website for Roane State Community College’s Athletics department. The site was launched on Friday August 2, 2024 after months of planning, development, and collaboration. The website will be the best place to find information about Roane State’s Athletics department.

Content is being continually added to the website, and updates are being made by school staff. Everyone from faculty, students, families, fans, and supporters of the Roane State Raiders are being encouraged to visit and explore all of the new features that site provides as the fall sports season steadily approaches.

So far the site has seen upgrades that have improved the visibility of news and updates. The site also automatically updates schedules, stats, standings, sponsorship recognition, team rosters, and much more.

Visitors to the home page will be able to see the most recent news articles in a rotating banner at the top of the pages, as well as a countdown to the next scheduled sporting event. Student athletes and recruits will be able to find important resources for themselves located inside of the main menu.

In addition, social media accounts for all of Roane State’s teams are listed so that fans can have quick access to more specialized news. A link to watch an online stream of games currently in progress will be found on the website as well.

In an article about the new website, the school’s director of athletics, David Lane, talked about its importance saying, “As we grow our teams and recruit top talent from across the state, the region, the nation, and the globe, we hope this new website will help connect all of our fans. We’re excited to begin another academic year, especially as we welcome Lady Raiders Soccer to Roane State for their inaugural season.”

Sports fans can look forward to the Lady Raiders soccer team playing their first match at Johnson University on August 20. The team’s first home match is scheduled against Bryan College eight days later.

More information about Roane State Community College in general can be found at the school’s website.
