New classes related to artificial intelligence available at Lincoln Memorial University

The new courses will be located within the School of Business, with one aimed at undergraduate students and one for students pursuing an MBA.

Lincoln Memorial University’s School of Business is implementing two new classes focused on artificial intelligence. The classes begin in the Fall 2024 semester and will give students the ability to efficiently leverage artificial intelligence in the world of business.

According to an article on Lincoln Memorial University's website, Dr. Kelsey Metz, who serves as the dean of the LMU School of Business, shared her excitement about the two new AI courses. She is quoted as saying, "I am thrilled to announce the launch of two new courses designed to empower the next generation of business leaders with the tools and knowledge necessary to deploy the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence. These courses reflect our commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology and strategic thinking into our curriculum, preparing students to lead in a rapidly evolving business landscape."

The first new course, BUSN 424: AI Literacy for Business, is for junior- and senior-level business students. It focuses on providing students with fundamental literacy in the usage of artificial intelligence. MBA 524: AI for Business Executives is a course in the master’s level business program. It pushes the concepts of AI literacy further to give students the opportunity to learn how to turn artificial intelligence knowledge into an asset that can improve business.
