The college’s grant project, Certifying Future Robotics Technicians in Middle Tennessee, will work to establish a new certificate program in robotics.
The partnership will allow GNTC students to earn an online bachelor degree from SAU in 18 to 24 months.
East Tennessee residents Herbert and Carolyn Krause gave $50,000 to the Roane State Foundation for the establishment of the new scholarship.
The shipping container project began when the Interior Design Technology program received a $10,000 grant in 2024. Students from across the school’s career training programs have had a part in bringing the project to life.
The grant comes from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development and will be used to provide short term healthcare training classes.
The articulation agreement will allow students with an associate degree in Systems Engineering from Columbus State Community College to transfer to Ohio Northern University to earn their bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
The Celebrating Ohio Book Awards & Authors grant will give the library funding to purchase books written by Ohio authors.
Miami University is now the Official University of the Cincinnati Bengals. The founder of the Bengals, Paul Brown, graduated from Miami University in 1930.
The new track will allow students to complete the program in five semesters. The accelerated version of the program uses the same curriculum as the traditional program, allowing students flexibility.
The program will be free for Ohio residents thanks to Choose Ohio First funding.
