About Valley College-Beckley

Founded in 1987, Valley College is a career training school with multiple campus locations throughout West Virginia. The Beckley campus offers two programs: Medical Clinical Assistant and Nursing Assistant.

Medical Clinical Assistant - Certificate

The Medical Clinical Assistant program at Valley College - Beckley aims to prepare students to work as an entry-level medical assistant in a hospital, clinic, or similar medical facility. The program is ten months and combines hands-on instruction with classroom learning taught by medical professionals. During the program, students will take part in an externship, and upon completion, can take a certification exam to become a Certified Medical Assistant.

Nursing Assistant - Certificate

The six-week CNA program at Valley College - Beckley will instruct students on topics such as nutrition, infection control, and standards of care quickly so that students can take their certification tests and begin working as Certified Nursing Assistants.

Hilbert College buys Valley College

New York’s private Hilbert College has acquired for-profit Valley College in a new agreement. The schools will operate independently, under the banner of a new nonprofit entity called Franciscan Services.
