The Dental Assisting program at MTEC consists of both lecture and hands-on learning with clinical sessions. Students will learn the office and laboratory techniques necessary for a career in dental assisting. After completing the program, graduates are eligible to take the Dental Assisting (American Medical Technologies) test.
The MTEC Medical Assisting (pre-nursing) program is a two-year program that consists of classroom learning and internships at local medical facilities. Students will earn an RMA certificate, CPR/first aid certificate, and will have the potential to become certified in phlebotomy.
The Pharmacy Technician program at MTEC lasts nine months and aims to help students prepare for certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) National Exam. Students will learn the basics that are the foundation for a career as a pharmacy technician, like client interaction and safety procedures.
This twelve-month program prepares students to work as a practical nurse who would provide routine care under the supervision of registered nurses. Students will take courses that teach them the skills needed for working in areas such as mental health nursing, pediatric nursing, and obstetrical nursing.
